'Gundam' Cafe To Open In Akihabara
A theme restaurant based on the popular Japanese sci-fi animation series ‘‘Mobile Suit Gundam’’ will open in Tokyo’s Akihabara district on Saturday, the operator Bandai Co said Thursday, calling on foreign tourists pay a visit.
Visitors can watch various videos providing information about the popular animation series, which began on television 31 years ago, while trying foods and deserts featuring its key characters and futuristic settings in the 60-seat Gundam Cafe.
A female staff member dressed in the uniform of a female character from the series will also act as a model in the cafe, posing for photographs with visitors.
Kazunori Ueno, president of the toy company, told a press preview event, ‘‘The restaurant has the capability to entertain core and lighter Gundam fans, children, and female customers as well as customers from overseas.’‘
Ueno also said his company hopes the cafe, the first such featuring the space war animation, will help ‘‘expand’’ its Gundam-related business.
After 10 Years J-Rock Band Λucifer Announces Their Comeback With Live Performances
Λucifer are a band, who debuted with the making of their featured Manga "快感♥フレーズ / KAIKAN♥Phrase" by Shinjo Mayu and the respective Anime series. It was an outstanding thing, when the band, who had seemingly sprung to live from the fictional work, debuted in 1999. However, in 2003 the band announced their break up to now make their comeback after more than 10 years.
The tour they will be going on - called "10th Anniversary Tour Rinne" - will lead them through Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya from April 25th to 29th. Pre-sales are currently running via the official homepage of the band and this chance should not be missed.
"Each of the band members pursued their own individual projects after the break up and it was rare that we kept continuing our lives in the music industry. Now that we have grown with these activities, we are really looking forward to playing music together again. It is great to be able to meet the fans again as well! It seems like there will be a lot of people gathering from that time, staff included. It will be a huge reunion with the fans." ATSURO commented on the plans.

SM Entertainment groups SHINee and f(x) recently made Japanese fans swoon over with their amazing concert performances for the New Generation Live in Yokohama event. The two groups catered to an audience of 5000 Japanese concertgoers on the 24th.
Girl group f(x) kicked things off at the concert event with opening performances of their songs Chocolate Love, LA chA TA, and Chu. The group’s impressive performances on stage weren’t the only things that got fans in the crowd talking. The girls’ masterful handle of 4 different languages definitely made an impression on Japanese fans.
The five shining stars of SHINee followed the ladies and performed all their previous hits like Replay, Love Like Oxygen, Juliette, JoJo and Ring Ding Dong. Of the 5000 fans in the crowd, a good majority avidly chanted, waved light sticks and sang along with the boys throughout their performances. Several others even made posters with members’ names and messages of encouragement for the group.
