Round 8: Audrey Hepburn v Eva Longoria

With the West Central Conference (WCC) finished, we now make our way to the South Eastern Conference (SEC).  Three brackets predict that the winner will come from this conference.  Two vouch for Olivia Wilde, the other votes for Heather Locklear.  Besides those three brackets, however, no one else predicts a finalist from the SEC. 

But before we can start Locklear's or Wilde's path to glory, our first match is between the late Audrey Hepburn and Eva Longoria.  While the brackets are meant to judge each actress in her current form, I personally would feel extremely perverted rating the attractiveness of a corpse, and it seems most other people would too with only two brackets predicting a win for Hepburn.

That being said, in her prime Hepburn was gorgeous and committed enormous amounts of her time to UNICEF.  She also won an Oscar and was nominated for two more.  Impressively she spoke seven languages fluently.  So even though many of us would feel uncomfortable rating the attractiveness of a corpse, let us all take a moment to reflect on this actress who did a lot of good for almost fifty years.

Eva Longoria hasn't nearly done as much charity as Hepburn, but is also attractive and alive.  This explains her 4 to 1 advantage over Hepburn in this current round.  Famous for her role in Desperate Housewives, Longoria has mastered the role of being a bitch.  At thirty-five, she still features a sexy body and a nice rack, and while she may be leaving her prime sexiness years, she still is a force to be reckoned with, appearing in the SEC finals in a number of different brackets.  She may have an easy win over Hepburn, but don't discount her as a threat in future rounds.  That being said, Hepburn may pull out a win if people desire the macabre or want to signal their appreciation for Hepburn's work.

Results from Round 6 and 7

In another close match, Jessica Biel defeats Anne Hathaway with only 60% (6/10) of the vote.  This ties for the closest match of the tournament so far.  However, when comparing hotness scores, Biel becomes the clear winner, with an average hotness of 7.6 compared to Hathaway's 6.8.  Once again, one judge rated the person he voted against higher.  Had he voted correctly, the vote would have gone to a tie; nevertheless, Biel would have still won.  Biel now ranks fifth on the leader boards behind Alba, Vandervoort Kunis and Knightley. Hathaway takes tenth out of fourteen.

Mila Kunis destroys Cameron Diaz in her round with 82% (9/11) of the vote.  Scoring an 8.18, Kunis takes Knightley's spot in third place.  Kunis will face Biel in the WCC semi-finals and given the disparity between their hotness scores, it looks like an easy win for Kunis.  Currently, the WCC holds three of the top five spots on the leader board (Vandervoort, Kunis, Biel) which could make one of them a dark horse candidate for the West's representative in the finals.  Currently, only three brackets predict a finalist from the WCC and one of them, Anne Hathaway, has been eliminated.  Everyone should keep their eyes on this potential powerhouse bracket.

Diaz takes twelfth place (of fourteen) on the leader boards, behind de Rossi, with an average hotness of 6.64.  One judge said that his "vote was really against Cameron Diaz..I have never been impressed with her."  Most judges though were simply blown away by Mila Kunis even though one judge argued "Mila Kunis looks like an older version of the girl from Modern Family, a girl that looks approximately 14." One judge commented that this round "was the toughest round to judge so far" indicating that even though it was a blowout victory for Kunis, it may have been closer than the voters indicate.  The actress' average hotness scores seem to disagree.

Hathaway scored 1 four, 2 fives, 1 six, 2 sevens, 2 eights and 2 nines.

Biel scored 1 six, 3 sevens, 5 eights and 1 nine.

Kunis scored 2 sixes, 1 seven, 3 eights, 3 nines and 2 tens.

Diaz scored 1 three, 1 four, 2 sixes, 3 sevens, 3 eights and 1 nine.
