Round 9: Heather Locklear v Jenny Morrison

Having just come from a round with two older lades, we now move into another.  One of them, Heather Locklear, is favored to win the tournament, by one judge, however, most judges don't put too much faith in Locklear's looks.  Known best for her role in Melrose Place (almost 20 years ago), Locklear is approaching fifty with her birthday coming up in a couple of months.  Personally, I don't think she is that attractive, but rather seems to embody the incredibly fake older woman trying to compete with much more attractive, younger, women.  The brackets tend to agree, with six out of the nine saying that Locklear is less attractive than Jenny Morrison.

Morrison is most famous for her role as Dr. Allison Cameron in House.  At 31, Morrison can definitely still hold her own, with an impressive body and an incredibly cute face.  One problem is that her hair color keeps changing which I find weird.  If she wins, Morrison could possibly face House co-star, Olivia Wilde, in the South East Conference Finals.  Only one bracket predicts this matchup and he has Wilde winning, however.

Results from Round 8
Eva Longoria wins Round Eight with an overwhelming 73% (8/11) of the vote.  While not the biggest victory ever, it is decisive.  Neither actress, however, received a very supportive hotness score.  Longoria received a 6.55 and Hepburn a 6.45.  This places them in thirteenth and fourteenth place, respectively.  Locklear and Morrison may have an easy time against Longoria considering her low score.

One possible explanation for the scores is that both actresses had wide distributions of scores. Longoria had a range of 3-9 and Hepburn had a range of 4-9.  The actress' median scores puts a little more distance between them with Longoria scoring a seven and Hepburn a six.  Still neither actress is in the top ten.

Longoria scored 1 three, 1 four, 2 fives, 3 sevens, 2 eights and 2 nines.
Hepburn scored 2 fours, 1 five, 3 sixes, 1 seven, 3 eights and 1 nine.

Prediction Leader Board Update:
Only one person has a perfect 8/8, ironically it's me.  I promise I'm not cheating, I just happen to be a good judge of attractiveness.  Jimmy is in second with 7, John, Tyler and Vincent are tied for third with 6, Greg is in sixth with 5, Rohit, Nate and Patrick are tied for seventh with 4.  Unfortunately, for Nate, he lost one of his finalists (Hathaway), hurting his scoring possibilities in the Western bracket.  Lots can change, however, in the later rounds as the points received is increased by 1 with each subsequent round.
